DongdongCHEN is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor working at the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), from Suzhou, Anhui Province, P. R. China. His research interests include various types of roadway and surrounding rock control in mining areas, theory of rock slab structure fracture in mining areas, green coal mining, and mine disaster prevention and control.

As the person in charge, he has presided over more than 20 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund Project, China Postdoctoral Fund Special Support Project, China Postdoctoral Fund General Project,andNational Natural Science Foundation Sub Project.

He has won 18 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards (including 3 first prizes), published 5 monographs, beengranted more than 50 patents and published 59 SCI/EI journal papers as the first author/corresponding author in important academic journals such as the JOURNAL OF CHINA COAL SOCIETY, Chinese Journal of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, IJCST, TUST, and RMRE.
